I spoke to several people that used the Tempur Pedic beds and all raved about it. I purchase the Ergo Adjustable bed with separate controls for raising the head and foot 6 months ago at a very high price tag. Needless to say it has been the biggest mistake I ever made....

Tempurpedic's HORRENDOUS service

First, I had difficulty just getting through to someone to place an order. I called around 5 pm on a weekday and the representative who FINALLY answered my call after a 36 minute wait told me the people who could help me were gone for the day but to leave my name and number and someone would get back to me within 48 hours. Well, here we are, 2 weeks later and no call. Pathetic. It seems they're NOT EVEN INTERESTED IN SELLING, much less providing any type of customer service once the sale has been made. My suggestion to anyone experiencing poor customer service? Write complaint letters to the following entities: (1) your state Department of Consumer Protection; (2) your state Attorney General's Office; (3) the Federal Trade Commission; and (4) the Better Business Bureau. Believe me, they WILL RESPOND once they start hearing from these folks. Good luck!!

I've seen several people on here compaining about their purchases that they made over the phone or online. In some cases it is a service issue and in some cases it is a product satisfaction issue.

Either way...ordering a mattress over the phone or online is the STUPIDEST thing you can do. Do you people buy your cars this way??? Go to a store with a good reputation so you can order it in person and make sure to pick one that is comfortable. I sell Tempurpedics and can say that most of the problems people express on this site about them are mislead, missinformed, and in many cases incorrect.

We never hear these complaints in our store.

Sometimes it is due to lack of research and sometimes it is due to poor sales people. Find someone with knowledge on the product and you won't have mostof these problems.

@Go to a store!

All these people complaint of mostly same issues. I've had slept on this ergo mattress for 4 + years.

Its a nightmare.....

back aches, hip aches, neck aches, discomfort in legs and arms, etc. So who is mislead, people like you who interest is nothing but that DOLLAR.

I tried this horrible product for two months, trying to convince myself that I would get used to it. My wife HATED it immediately.

I kept saying to give it a chance. I started having severe back pain even though I had no back problems before I received this piece of ***. I had to get the state attorney general after them after they became indignant and abusive with me. I had a home trial and tried to settle with them for shipping (150 dollars) as agreed.

They wouldn't bill me as delivery men told me they would, and then they turned me over to collections. Once I sicked the attorney general on them they were nice as pie!

I hope they get audited every year. They're crooks

We purchased a n adjustable bed and Tempur-pedic mattress two year ago. The bed got stuck in the up position. I called customer service and was told the bed is out of warranty but they would send me the part for $25.00 and they would walk me through the installation....

TempurPedic in Colorado Springs, Colorado - Mattress cover

I followed the washing instructions of my king size mattress cover, and the cover does not fit now. I had a queen size mattress over lay, years back, and when I washed the cover, I had no problem putting it back on. Is this cover replaceable at no cost to me? The king size is also a 3" mattress overlay. I purchased it in the summer of 2009, at a store in Aurora, CO. I do not have the paperwork. It won't stretch enough to zip. If I had someone to stretch it, perhaps it would zip, but I am single.

TempurPedic in Detroit, Michigan - Cloud Supreme review

I purchased a cloud supreme mattress and was happy about the comfort it gave me. My chronic back pain was greatly improved. If I was sore during the day once I slept I woke up feeling fine. To me it was like sleeping on a cloud! However even though my back was happy the temperpedic was causing me other problems. I was waking up with migraine headaches 3-5 times a week during the first 2 months due to the strong odor of the mattress. My sinus's were generally agitated and my teeth would ache during the 3rd month. Finally, being a warm sleeper to begin with I felt like I was sleeping on a frying pan in my cloud supreme bed! The bottom of me was sizzling while the top of me was chilled. So I decided to exchange my mattress and went with an innerspring which is terrible for my back. Now I am considering trying an all natural latex mattress. If that does not help my back I will have to go back to the cloud supreme and try to air out the mattress for a longer period. I guess 1 week with the fan on it and a day on outside on the porch just didn't do it for my sensitive nose! As for the heat I'll just have to deal with that too.

I got my first Tempurpedic from a retailer five years ago. It did have an odor which went away in less than a week, although I kept the windows open at night. I loved the bed at first, but over time it developed more and more of a sag in the middle, and I began...

I have a similar problem. I left the mattress to air out for 8 months and it smelled terrible when we returned.

Customer service told me that u have to sleep on it every night for the odor to dissipate. They might replace the mattress if I apply for a warentee. I went to Sleepys where I purchased the mattress and they will talk to the rep. The saga continues .

I read on line of s lawsuit in Dallas Texas filed in 2013 by atty Allen Stewart. This problem plus the toxicity were included.

TempurPedic in Cedar Grove, New Jersey - Tempur-Pedic and back pain!

I needed a new mattress, and now at a slightly advanced age and having arthritis in my shoulder, I thought I would try a Tempur-Pedic mattress to reduce the pressure on the joint at night. I bought a very high end Tempur-Pedic mattress, the "Cloud" at $3,049!, and have slept on it for about 30 nights - as they recommend giving your body a chance to adjust to the new feel. I've been waking with an annoying back pain and sluggish feeling, although I do sleep well through the night. I realized this mattress does not give my back enough support and thus, the back pain. My shoulder feels better, but my back is killing me! So, I'm going with a traditional good quality mattress, with a pillow top mattress cover for more cushioning. I told the sales person "soft on top, but with a firm foundation, and what I got was soft, soft, soft. I'm taking it back.

Tempurpedic

We bought this mattress at Raymour & Flanagan's on 14th st., nyc. A king sized, and after we slept on it for a period of about 2 months my husband and I who are both athletic people, were both having shoulder and back pain, that we never had before. The mattress did not yield; it's like sleeping on concrete. We contacted Raymour's and Tempurpedic and because it was past the 30 days, they could care less. Though we paid almost $5000.00 (adjustable beds, remote control) this Xmas, we're going to treat ourselves by donating the bed to the salvation army and buying a Sealy Beautyrest.
