Kicked from department to department

Power frame broke and damaged mattress. Tempurpedic said at first warranty is with Reverie even tho the item is branded tempurpedic. I have spent hours and hours trying to get it straightened out. They do not care! They send you emails and do not follow thru on them. They use sub rate delivery companies to do their delivery and when they give less than 2 hours notice, the delivery company cancels the order. You are a dog chasing your tail dealing with Tempurpedic.

Warning for new buyers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Wife and I bought the cream of the crop. High end mattress with adjustable head and leg frame. Long story short worst purchase I ever made. Total waste of money. I'm a side sleeper and this bed is like sleeping on plywood. I get major pressure on my shoulder and hips. I wake up stiff and sore, that is if I can get to sleep. It's so uncomfortable that I stay up all night so I get so tired hoping to just pass out. Doesn't help. The mattress is just so uncomfortable. When we laid on the demo in the show room the bed was amazing soft and cloud like. So we bought the same thing. We were td that because it's new it will be a little stiff but will eventually soften up. We'll it's been a year and it's still hard as a concrete floor. The trial has ended and now we are stuck with this boat anchor. Buyer beware. Do not buy these over priced concrete blocks.

Same here. My hip hurts badly every morning if I use only the mattress and not the additional pad I had to buy to help cushion.

CAVEAT EMPTOR: TEMPUR WON'T SUPPORT WARRANTY PROMISE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Tempur-Pedic's most expensive mattress and foundation (plus pillows, etc.) were purchased years ago at a price point well above the now-crowded foam market's. However, a few years into the purchase & enjoyment, the foam dented deeply without recovery.

It has changed our lives by depriving us of adequate REM sleep, aggravating neuropathy, plus frustrating us with no customer service satisfaction! I'd broken my neck & suffered additional physical trauma. Unfortunately, Tempur-Pedic has failed to stand by its own warranty, offering instead an obstacle course of bureaucratic impediments without fulfillment or closure! Don't trust them, folks...

Here's how it plays out:

* You return to the place of purchase to find that they've changed ownership because it's a mattress franchise.

* The Tempur product purchased a few years ago has either changed or no longer exists.

* The new owners provide a national customer service contact for Tempur-Pedic & you call, trusting a reputable brand & enterprise to satisfy its side of the contract in good faith.

* Instead, they ask for verification of purchase & the actual tags from the mattress.

* You photo those and/or send them in, but they then tell you that you need a DIFFERENT set of tags after having failed to specify originally which ones they needed.

* After receiving the proper identification, verifying your qualification for warranty coverage, they next REQUIRE ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS OF THE INDENTATIONS!!!!

Your discomfort isn't adequate for coverage; no, they need to validate that your expensive purchase of their top product failed to certain parameters!

* So, you retrieve a yardstick and a level, measure the failed density of Tempur-Pedic's premiere product & send those in.

* They then respond with an "inadequate method of measurement" correspondence, requiring a repeat to specific parameters of THEIR process--ALL WHILE YOU ARE QUITE LITERALLY LOSING SLEEP BECAUSE OF THEIR FAILED PRODUCT!!

* Next, they may affirm that you've qualified for a refund, but Tempur-Pedic takes no initiative in reaching out to inform you of a protocol for finally receiving compensatory costs recuperation or bringing closure to your claim. You're left with a failed product needing disposal & compensation.

DON'T DO IT, FOLKS!!! IF YOU FAIL TO HEED THIS WARNING, KEEP YOUR DOCUMENTS (PROOFS OF PURCHASE, MATTRESS TAGS (PERHAPS EVEN YOUR OWN PROOF OF HUMANITY--LOL) & HAVE SOME SCIENTIFIC TOOLS AVAILABLE TO PROVE THAT THEIR PRODUCTS HAVE FAILED AS POORLY AS THEIR PROMISES TO STAND RESPONSIBLY BEHIND THEM.

Sleeping in Pain | Claim Denied

TempurPedic - Sleeping in Pain | Claim Denied

My wife and I purchased a tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze four years ago. We invested a little over 5k with all of the bells and whistles.

Recently my wife and I started experiencing lower back pain. We quickly realized it was from our mattress. We submitted our claim after following the detailed way( measure with a quarter and straight edge to determine depth of sag). However, our response was a standardized no.

Tempurpedic is definitely a brand that we did not think we would receive this type of response from.

The response said we don't have a valid claim, however, our lower back pain and discomfort says otherwise. This is unacceptable.

TempurPedic guarantees its customers 90 nights trial for the mattresses. In this case you should contact the TempurPedic customer service by phone 800-821-6621.

However, as you are using it more, you should take into consideration the TempurPedic warranty policy. They provide warranties from 1 up to 25 years and there are limitations to the warranties.

Their "Warranty" is not helpful. Do a little research.

More warranty claims get denied than approved. Even when people have back pain.

defective product replaced.

Updated by user May 16, 2018

After 4 letters from the company refusing to honor the warranty I wrote the initial review, filed a complaint with the BBB and threatened legal action. The company finally agreed to replace the defective mattress for a $175 delivery charge and a replacement has now been obtained. I consider this issue resolved.

Original review Apr 26, 2018
I bought the Tempurpedic Rhapsody bed for $3000 dollars which claimed to have a 20 year warranty. When the foam disintegrated after 7 years the company said that their warranty does not include damage to the mattress? All this was used for was sleeping by my wife and I and it was kept in the Tempurpedic mattress cover, which I had to purchase separately. The cover is fine but the foam just fell apart. It looks as though animals tore it up but we have no pets. After repeated attempts to deal with their warranty dept. and their refusal to provide any remedy I am currently pursuing legal action against the company. I hope this helps someone considering this costly mistake of a purchase.

Garbage!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

TempurPedic mattress's are the biggest scam going amongst all mattress scams out there. Spend a fortune with big promises, and get a piece of crap.

Not a day goes by that we do not wake up sore with lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and sometimes middle back pain. I weigh 250 and was fine at first being a firm model we bought, but after a couple months, I found that I sink into this this like a rock. The foam does not hold its support as required, gets softer with age, but that is not covered under the warranty I am told. There is no "compression" test for warranty, only the constant depression or sagged version.

This is where they get you, and memory foam will expand back to its original size, although the support strength will not be there. So trying to find a 1-1/2" depression that stays is difficult. However if you took a weight that measured compression, you would find the problems right away. $3500 right out the window, so save your money and go buy a $500 bed every few years instead.

Don't get conned into long warranty's as they mean nothing in the end really.

Over the last 25 years we have tried all versions, and the cheapest ones have now shown to be the best. The mattress industry is one of the biggest money makers for manufactures and scams going.

At present we have had our tempur pedic for a few years and our physical health has declined from lack of restful sleep. The bed side suport are none existing, as the rest of the bed.

This makes the bed feel as if you are laying in quicksand. The more you struggle the worse it is.

This bed has caused shoulders, hips, and back to ache more and more. Mold and heat issues too.

I bought my Tempurpedic 5 years ago - it sags, one side is softer than the other, I get up with a back ached every morning except when I'm traveling and not sleeping on it. I called customer service and spoke to the rudist person ever. They want you to take a picture of the variance - have you ever tried to do that? My advice, if you haven't bought a Tempurpedic - Don't . I'm going to pursue the Claim so stay tuned and let's see what they come up with. Art Van sells you a bill of goods with their salesmanship. Mattress nightmare

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
August 19,2017 I went to Mattress1 store at 1440 N. Federal Hwy Pompano Beach to purchase a King size Contour Supreme which is suppose to be a very firm mattress. When I received the mattress it was as if someone has been sleeping on the right side of the bed in was not firm at all. I immediately call mattress 1. They said I would have to pay $125.00 restocking fee. I said no way. After several days arguing with the salesman they delivered another mattress without the fee. The left side of the new bed had the same problem. Mattress 1 told me to file a defective product claim with TempurPedic. Claim was denied. I am now in the process of filing a complaint with the Attorney General of Florida. I refuse to pay over $3000 for a mattress that is defective.

Why do you not go after the company directly ? Claim denied ?

SO WHAT ?

The Attorney General in our state does nothing but act as a collection agency for the tax dept. so unless your state is radically different, forget them.

You like the salesman who charged you over $3000.00 for defective products and

"After several days arguing with the salesman" ??

Check the consumer laws in your state. Allow the vendor remedy attempts as provided by law.

All correspondence MUST BE conducted in writing .

No more calls, e-mails, store visits, etc. Use only : Certified Mail, return receipt requested.

I assume your jurisdiction has a court system.

Beds are not quality!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We purchased a Queen pillow rip for about $800. In approximately 6 months the pillow top broke down everywhere a body part touched. They came and looked at it when it got super bad, it failed the 1.5" test according to the guy who did the test. The store and manufacturer said it didn't fail the test it's now 2" of sinking). To solve the problem, the store offered to take it back and let me pick out another one. This one cost $400 more!!! Now I have a bed (4 months) that you roll out of because the sides have broken down. Will NEVER buy Temperpedic

Is it the mattress, or isn't it the mattress?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We just had a Temperpedic contour delivered (this is the second one), the first one I purchased from a military store, it turned out the mattress was used, the original tag had been ripped off and another one stuck on the ripped part that was left. The mattress also had someone's big finger prints on the bottom and a small spot. It was returned. We purchased the same style mattress, this time directly from Temperpedic and I saw a snag on the mattress cover and the original tag that is sewn onto the bottom part of the cover, was removed at a perforated line and another tag was placed on top of where the portion of the tag had been removed! Is this the way the tags are on these mattresses, has anyone else noticed this? To me it looks like the original tag has been removed and another tag put in it's place, it's like trying to make a used mattress new by removing the old tag and putting a new tag in it's place!

We purchased a Brand New California king Cloud Luxe, 2 bases, mattress protector from a authorized Tempur Pedic store ( I-Keating Inc) on 2/2017. It had issues from the beginning such as sink holes and a huge ridge in the middle.

We told the salesman repeatedly our mattress had severe defect issues and sink holes and the amount of pain we were in from sleeping on it. On 11/2017 the store / salesman put in a service/warranty order and told us someone would be calling and coming out to handle the warranty and then tempur pedic would replace the mattress or we could upgrade. The salesman was pushing a upgrade UNTIL we told him we already had the top of the line and the secretary confirmed and then his eagerness completely disappeared. ($7,977.00) Meanwhile weeks passed and No one called and we were told to just hold tight, they're backed up etc.

They intentionally lied until over a YR had passed. So finally we asked a different salesman and were told we had to call tempur and they printed out the service/warranty order that shows it was canceled/voided out by the store. So while taking pictures for the warranty claim info I also noticed how the sticker isn't actually attached/sewn into the Bed. It's actually lightly glued (I could easily remove it without damaging either tag if I wanted) to the blank tag that is attached/sewn into the bed.

Yes, It looks like the company sews in a 4in blank tag so tags can be lightly glued on and removed/switched out very easily. I have never seen any other manufactures tags applied to a mattress or any furniture like this. I have also wondered if they just glue a new sticker on after warranty switch outs/exchanges, unhappy trial's, returns etc. It really looks like they are Intentionally and Repeatedly Screwing Consumers.

There is absolutely No reason for the original tag to not be sewn into the mattress.

It's pretty obvious Tempur Pedic has a huge sales commission/bonus/Free bed/products for salesman cause every mattress salesman says they have a top of the line Tempur Pedic mattress when they aren't even getting by and don't own any of the furniture or bedroom sets in the store YET own a 8,000 bed, ya makes sense. I've noticed it's all about the tempur pedic up-sale/upgrade until you have the top.

Terrible Customer Service and Warranty not worth paper written on

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our mattress is 6 years old and when we purchased it the warranty was 10 year full replacement the next 10 years depreciated replacement. Our mattress has indentations on my side and my husbands side causing back pain every day.

The company requested I take pictures using a quarter and a ruler which we did but the indentations are not very visible on the pictures becuase the mattress raises up some when you get off but sinks teriibly as soon as you lay down. I am petite person so it is not caused but heavy weight, it is just defective. I requested they send someone to do an inspection and was told they did not have anyone in area to send and they have rejected our claim. So we spent thousands of dollars on a mattress that has now caused back problems.

I was not requesting a refund, just a replacement mattress.

Their wonderful 20 year warranty is not worth the paper it was written on and their customer service is terrible. It would have better to buy a cheap but comfortable mattress and replace it every couple of years.

Oh My Aching Back!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Purchased Tempur pedic Cloud - The first mattress we purchased and after 4 years had huge hump in middle and both box springs completely fell apart. After contacting Tempu Pedic customer service they said "yes we've been having trouble with those box springs". So they replace our original SOLID memory foam mattress (which was a solid piece of memory foam and very heavy" with a "new version/design" that was half the weight (has the grey bottom portion now they are selling). This is NOT the same mattress we bought. I wake every morning with a back ache and can barely turn over to get out of bed and I've been having to go to a chiropractor. This is a bate and switch! This is no where the comfort of our first "original memory foam mattress"! The cut the quality to make more money. I am out now $4,000 and now have a terrible back ache! Don't buy a Tempur Pedic mattress!! You'll regret it every morning when you wake up. I think I will take mind out in the yard and set fire to it and post it on FB.

Lower back pain

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I never had back pain until I slept on a Tempur Pedicure mattress. My husband has the same problem. Worst investment we ever made. I hope people read these reviews before buying this very expensive mattress ! My daughter also has a Tempur Pedicure mattress and now is suffering from bulging disks on her neck. She had to quit work as a teacher. She's seen several doctors and is now considering surgery. We're tired of waking up in pain every day. I'm so tired every day, and I'm sure it's from the lack of restful sleep. I'm still paying for this mattress but very serious about giving it to Goodwill !

Back in 2010, my husband and I bought a Tempurpedic mattress. I have severe back problems and hoped to get some relief paying top dollar for an expensive bed. Here I am, 6 years later, to tell you if you could choose between a Tempurpedic or a bed made of literal nails, choose the nails. The bed is horrible. Waste of money!
