Tempurpedic Tempur-contour Firm Mattress
Reason of review
Bad quality
Preferred solution
We have a 9 yr old Tempur-pedic that is like sleeping on a rock. We have tried more than once to get some kind of resolution from "customer service" but trying to get our 25 yr warranty honoured seems to be impossible. Frustrated and tired of sleeping on a mattress...

TempurPedic in Saint Louis, Missouri - Dave G.

The smell is a huge problem. I believe it made me sick. They call it outgassing...think about that for a moment. It's a disgrace that this is a legal product. Things smell bad for a reason. The reviews were there and I overlooked them. After one week, we exchanged the toxic TemperPedic for a latex product. Luckily, our retailer worked with us. Mattress be gone. I'm surprised there aren't more government controls on this but buyer beware. I'm a "pass" on sleeping on a bed of chemicals. Don't wanna sniff glue while I'm sleeping. Good riddance. You've been warned. Oh, I'm much better now.

I have personally been inside the Tempurpedic Manufacturing plant in Albuquerque, NM. The employees do not even wear respirators during the manufacturing process.

None of the chemicals used are toxic. I have slept on a Tempurpedic for 4 years and its the best night sleep I have ever had.

You are a liar, I have seen the lab results of what these beds are made of. Formaldehyde is one of the many toxic chemicals.

And they don't even make the beds in the United States.

If you were telling the truth Jeff, and if you ever owned one, you'd see on the MFG tag the mattresses are NOT made in the United States!

Jeff I'd be willing to bet you're an employee of tempurpedic trying to do damage control for all the people your company has made sick.

Won't help you though! Lab test results do not lie

Oh mister Tempur luvr, trying to censor others with your wiseacre remarks makes you appear useless!

Oh mister guberment, please protectin me from duh outgassin'

What a tool

I had a complete opposite experience as this person; I barely smelled anything when my Tempur-Pedic was delivered, and after a couple days there was no smell at all.

Well you can add me to the group of people who thought if you spent $4000 on a mattress it might last you a lifetime, especially if you were already in your 50's. Well we did just that. It's an absolute terrible bed. We've owned it 3 years. My neck has a bulging...

Ive had matrees 11/2 yrs-bought same month and wish I knew a class actionlawsuit was filed for this about the foam and off gasing and serious health problems. After I has the matress I devoped low oxygen levels and now have to wear a oxygen tank on Airplane flights-which is big deal for us.I also have had to start wearing a CAPA machne every night!

I have terrible new aches in shouldersI suspect from trying to turn on bed -my back is worse not any better.

When I sleep in another room and test my back I get out of bed better on a plain regular hard mattress and the minute I get out of bed with this mattress is painful and distressed.I try my best to g to bed late so I wont have to get up for restroom in middle of night as so hard to roll and get out of the bed.

No handles, you cant move it,no way to look at the foam and condition as now an un zippable cover. Ive tried to return it-I have a $4,000 loss and am so sad.Who wants to throw that kind of money away?
