Purchased Tempur-Pedic Cloud Luxe in late July. Off-gassing smell is horrible and still strong after 6 weeks. Waking up with lower back pain and severe headache's, that I never had with my conventional mattress. Salesperson at ArtVan in Michigan keeps telling me I need to give it more time, my body needs to adjust to the mattress. seems if you spend $4000 on a mattress, it shouldn't take this long to get comfortable. I am experiencing the worst sleep of my life!!!! ArtVan policy is a one time re-selection for another mattress of equal value, no return & refund. I am newly retired, this was a huge purchase and cannot afford to take a loss if I replace with a conventional mattress so looks like I am stuck.

Wish I had found this site BEFORE I purchased a Tempur-Pedic product!!!

I'm getting headaches everyday since buying a Tempurpedic mattress, too. I'm achy and feel like I have a minor flu...for the past 6 weeks! I wonder if it could really be the mattress??


Just wanted to give an update on the awful 'off-gassing' smell from the Tempur-Pedic Cloud Luxe I purchased in July 2013. The odor did not dissipate and was still highly noticeable even two months after delivery.

I worked with the retailer, Art Van, to exchange the mattress for a different model. The new Tempur-Pedic was delivered this past week and after one day, there is NO ODOR AT ALL. Even the delivery people who brought the new model could smell the odor off the Tempur-Pedic Cloud Luxe they took away. Thank goodness for the very cooperative Salesperson at ArtVan Furniture, otherwise I would have been stuck with a defective product that cost $4000.

Needless to say, I am disappointed in Tempur-Pedic Customer Service for not taking this issue more seriously. I am NOT A 'sensitive little ****' as the commenter posted below, even the ArtVan salesperson who came to check out the mattress after two months of it being in my home, agreed there was an odor issue with the Tempur-Pedic Cloud Luxe and arranged to replace it with another model at no additional expense to me.


one more thing I forgot to mention. I purchased a 3 inch FeatherBed from Macy's and use that on top of the new Tempur-Pedic so I don't wake up with back pain.


This doesn't sound like Tempurpedics problem. You being a sensitive little *** is the problem. Also, maybe you should direct your issues to the retailer as they are the ones who aren't helping you.


Have you tried to call Tempur-Pedic to see if anything could be done? They have a Facebook page, a Twitter account, and a website with phone numbers to call. I'm sure they could help you.
